Having decided to turn challenges into action, while making space for the “Now Me” to step forward and create my own set of adventures—feels good. But I wouldn’t be able to embrace new experiences without first acknowledging every piece of the puzzle that makes me. And while I’ve never been one to dwell on time, age, or all the little details that anchor me instead of letting me flow, I can’t ignore the fact that I belong to a specific generation—by birth, by energy.

A generation called Xennial. We are a micro-generation—born between 1977 and 1983—the actual middle child of today’s world. And funny enough? I am literally the middle child within this group, too. In high school, we witnessed the rise of cell phones—but also knew life before them. When the world turned 2000, I turned 20. As a college senior, I watched MySpace and Facebook emerge.

In my 30s, social media went into overdrive, and we all learned to aesthetically document life digitally. While hustle culture demanded us to have two jobs. So the rise of Zen culture counter balanced. So when the world went through its existential crisis in 2020, I also met that year right in the middle. One foot in nostalgia, and the other in innovation.

Life has been magical to us—yet real at the same time. And maybe that’s why some of us feel stuck in shock—we remember what it felt like to be fully present, yet still have to perform in the now. Many of us have been processing, reflecting, and perhaps not fully stepping forward into our own spotlight, sitting on the sidelines, watching Boomers, Millennials, and Gen Z debate their differences. And too often, we’ve felt uninspired to enter the chatroom and voice our opinions. But the truth is, we belong in the conversation. More than ever, the time for playing small is over.

Believing 40 is a limitation? Instead of seeing it as an expansion into a life rich with experience, is an outdated mindset. We can’t treat it like a countdown because life no longer stops at 80. And midlife crisis is no longer an opportunity to buy a sports car or act out of character. This is an actual opportunity to develop ourselves further instead and expand together with the world. Seeing the bigger picture, and embracing our place in the now isn’t just empowering—it’s the jolt our life’s purpose needs.  While adaptation is our superpower—adapt, expand and keep it moving. It’s time to recognize that we are an integral part of this evolution.

So, what’s the fear? What’s holding us back from trusting ourselves to go full audacious? What makes us not show up enough in our authenticity? We have to unstuck of being in between worlds,  we have to embrace our wisdom,  heal generational trauma and step into the full perspective of being wholly ourselves. We are both witnesses and participants. The world isn’t waiting—it’s evolving alongside us, at the same pace and numbers.

So perhaps this is the time to stop feeling disempowered. and shake off the shock of change and recognize that we are seasoned and vital enough to create an impact. It’s a rare inner strength. But sitting any longer to rationalize everything won’t put us on life’s board game.

What’s all that sauce if you never serve the meal?

By the way, this month marks exactly five years since the pandemic began—a moment in time that reshaped our lives. A shift that happened five years ago, now marking the “Wood Anniversary” of when the world stood still.

And in perfect synchronicity, 2025 welcomes the Year of the Wooden Snake in the Chinese Zodiac—a symbol of transformation, wisdom, and adaptability.  Our theme!   There is no better time than now to shed our skin like the snake, to embrace flexibility and creativity, and to step fully into who we are becoming.
