Lugini Marie is the voice and vision behind Taste + Labels. Born in Curaçao and shaped by life in Atlanta, Miami, and Los Angeles, she blends her island heritage with global influences to create a platform where culture, hospitality, and style collide

A lifelong fashion enthusiast, Lugini grew up flipping through the pages of Vogue, developing an eclectic, boundary-pushing sense of style that always carried a touch of “otherness.” That curiosity for belonging through fashion evolved into a wider passion: curating spaces and stories where people feel seen.

Founder Lugini Marie has experience work opportunities where culture, couture, and cuisine intertwine. From the glamour of the Versace Mansion to the intensity of Hell’s Kitchen Season 23, from Roberto Cavalli’s restaurant to Casa Tua’s iconic lunch or dinner parties hosted by the likes of Chanel and Valentino, she has witnessed firsthand how taste and style create unforgettable moments.

The platform naturally celebrates life, resilience, creativity, and curiosity, offering candid reflections on navigating this journey as a Woman, a Curaçaon, a Xennial, a Black Caribbean Immigrant in the States, and a world citizen at large.

Taste + Labels is an exploration of the labels we carry and the taste we cultivate through experience. For me, fashion and hospitality are the mediums, but the subject is humanity. "Labels" are about how we define life and "Taste" is about our discernment. Taste + Labels isn’t just about what you wear or what you eat; it’s about how both shape identity, create belonging, and remind us that life’s finest luxury is the depth of our connection.

Taste + Labels came to life in 2015. A decade later, I’m not reviving it as a side project, but as proof that I’ve always been here, present, creating, and evolving.
