Let’s Frolic: How Cynthia Blanc Preiss Maclean Inspires Women to Embrace Resilience and Empowerment

la reine

Cynthia Blanc Preiss Maclean is a fellow islander of Haitian–Bahamian descent — a powerhouse of grace, purpose, and presence. She is deeply active in her community and is widely recognized as a mentor, speaker, and passionate advocate for widows.

She proudly holds the titles of Mrs. New England 2023, former Mrs. Framingham 2021, and Mrs. Massachusetts 2022. Cynthia also serves as the Vice President of the Framingham League of Women Voters, where she tirelessly advocates for women’s right to vote and to have a voice that truly counts.

Having walked through widowhood herself, Cynthia made it her mission to stand beside married women who have lost their husbands — with particular compassion for those widowed by suicide. Her advocacy brings understanding, dignity, and community to women who often feel unseen.

Cynthia’s work is undeniably inspiring. She carries herself with poise while encouraging women to reconnect with their feminine essence, their inner strength, and their resilience.

Having walked through widowhood herself, Cynthia made it her mission to stand beside married women who have lost their husbands , with particular compassion for those widowed by suicide. Her advocacy brings understanding, dignity, and community to women who often feel unseen.

She regularly shares lifestyle and relationship insights, promoting love, marriage, and partnership rooted in respect, almost goddess-like in devotion and intention. Her message? Build alignment between lifestyle, habits, and values so that relationships feel empowered rather than draining.

Beyond advocacy, Cynthia is also the author of “Big Money Lies Exposed! The Truth To Get Rich & Stay Rich,” a book that challenges readers to rethink wealth mentality and financial resilience. She is frequently invited to speak on this topic and somehow still finds time to pour into all her other initiatives.

Recently, Cynthia was nominated for “Most Impactful”, shining even more light on her work supporting widows locally and internationally.

She leads by example, prioritizing health, movement, nourishing food, and self-reward rituals, especially as she embraces her 50s with vitality and intention.

And let’s talk style. Cynthia has an impeccable eye for fashion, her closet is a stunning parade of statement dresses fit for “The MRS.” I’m personally waiting for the day she drops a curated fashion line. Until then, she’s blessing us with a forthcoming cosmetics brand soon to launch.

Despite her full schedule, Cynthia remains deeply committed to her family — devoted to her husband, nurturing her children, and fully owning the throne she sits on today. When not in Massachusetts, you’ll often find her at her second home in Aruba, frolicking freely and embracing life.

Cynthia reminds us that resilience isn’t about surviving quietly — it’s about thriving boldly, honoring purpose, and choosing joy even after loss.

UPDATE: I wrote this piece on Cynthia in 2023.

Cynthia’s world today is a living testament to what happens when resilience, purpose, and grace choose the same direction. From launching La Reine Cynthia and expanding her voice across digital spaces, to modeling a loving partnership rooted in devotion and mutual care, she continues to evolve, not louder, but deeper. Her presence reminds women that elegance isn’t performance; it’s alignment, the courage to rebuild, to pursue beauty with intention, and to stand fully in one’s power while still welcoming softness. And with milestones like returning to Harvard after 35 years and serving as an elected member of the Framingham Public Library Board of Trustees, championing community engagement and lifelong learning,  she proves that impact is built through purpose in motion. As she keeps frolicking through life with poise, faith, and intention, Cynthia doesn’t just inspire; she sets the tone for what thriving after life’s storms can truly look like.

Grace, growth, and purpose in motion. Cynthia isn’t just inspiring, she’s rewriting the blueprint for thriving.
